ABSTRACT
It has become a song in Nigeria’s academic word to either publish or perish”. This drives all faculty lecturers towards research and publication in reputable peer- reviewed “A star” journals, Most especially in the universities. where the value of the publication and research is respected, when it is in refereed “A” (4 star journals, preferably those which have achieved very high reputation. This paper is to examines the extent to which academic research papers must inform, educate, contribute to knowledge and entertain the practitioners who are engaged in practical’s, in either management or business work. “(industry practitioner)”. There are evidences in the western world of Europe, America and Australiasia in particular, and in Africa that Nigeria management and business journals are neither read nor recognized by the industry practitioners. This paper is a literature review and practical Research work therefore, recommends that a continuous practical interaction between the lecturers and practitioners is more rewarding, and let the Academic research works of lecturers be used by industry practitioners, and vice versa. The consequences for academics and other writers is that if their research papers are not read by practitioners in the particular subject area then there is no need writing them. We can use the research papers for professional career promotion in their place of employment, but should this be the only reason.? We must try to write and publish our papers to meet the demands of academically related journals and publications, which will enhance our careers and also to use other outlets that are likely to be read by the industry practitioners. It is a somewhat difficult, but not an impossible task. That if lecturers research writings must be useful, it must involve practical facts relevant to industry managers, or industry practitioners who will invariably alter their reading habits to accommodate research writings of le Managers must also contribute to research papers and journal articles, so as to make the journals attractive to bridge the marriage between the town and gown.

ABSTRACT
Every business organization has an important decision of making returns and this decision is important since the ability of a firm to make returns in this competitive environment determines to a larger extent its ability to survive in the future. The decision explains the structure of the share owners of the business. This study appraises the effect of share ownership structure on stock market volatility of Deposit Money Banks in Nigeria. The study adopts the expo-facto design as the study is focused on a statistical relationship between variables without the manipulation of the independent variable where ownership structure, ownership concentration of the firm and firm size were proxies for the independent variables and Total Annual Market Capitalization on the Nigerian Stock Exchange represented the dependent variable. The study employed Descriptive Statistics and the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method of Regression Analysis with the aid of EVIEWS 10 and the study found foreign ownership and ownership concentration have no significant effect on the stock market volatility of Deposit Money Banks in Nigeria, whereas firm size is found to have a significant effect on the stock market volatility of Deposit Money Banks in Nigeria. The study recommends the need to encourage trading volumes by policy makers as the larger the size of the investor base, the more trading will occur, subsequently leading to larger volatility. This is because the volatility in stock returns will increase by the size of the investor base and accordingly more concentrated ownership will lead to lower stock return volatility.

ABSTRACT
This Study assesses the Implementation of Anchor Borrowers Program and Food Security in Nigeria. The Anchor Borrowers Program was introduced in 2015 to boost agricultural output, provide food security and reduce importation of Agricultural commodities particularly those Nigeria has a comparative advantage to produce. The objectives of the study are to measure the trend of food crops production and price of food items before and during the intervention of Anchor Borrowers Program using descriptive statistics such as tables and graphs to present findings. Similarly, trend analysis was used to show the positions of production level of rice, maize, and cassava and the price of food items annually as recorded. The result of the findings shows that: Maize production increased by 21.9% million tones; rice production increased by 29.6% million tones, cassava production increased by 17.6% million tones and the price of food items increased by 40.3%between the period of intervention, 2015 and 2020.Based on the above results, it means the implementation of Anchor Borrowers Program is impacting slowly on food security. Therefore, the researchers recommend that: Emphases of Anchor borrowers’ program should be geared towards boosting irrigation system and ensure the right type of fertilizers are available at the right price, at the right times so as to boost production of maize and rice; Trade Policy should be considered seriously to restrict agricultural export, particularly, maize and rice and allow legal importation of those food we couldn’t produce to avoid food crises and price increase; CBN should stabilise exchange rate through policy and intervention in the foreign Exchange market with proper management of foreign reserves.

ABSTRACT
Culture is the fundamental determinant in a person’s want and behaiviour. Individuals are brought up to follow the beliefs, value and customs of the society and to avoid behavior that is judged unacceptable or considered as a taboo. Each culture consists of smaller subcultures that provide more specific identification and socialization for their members (Kotler 2003). ABSTRACT
The study sought to investigate the effect of government policy on entrepreneurship development in Nigeria. Entrepreneurship and small business development are the heart of many countries’ economy, and countries that give entrepreneurship special attention stand better chances of improved economy and industrialization. World over, it is well known that government policies often affect entrepreneurial activities directly and indirectly. To address entrepreneurship development problems, government has introduced programs such as; World Bank SMEs 1 and 2 Loan Scheme, National Economic Reconstruction Fund (NERFUND), Peoples and Community Bank, Nigerian Bank of Commerce and Industry (NBCI), Export Processing Zone (EPZ), National Poverty Eradication, Advisory Agencies, few to mention about. Findings reveal that, these policy measures have played insignificant role in entrepreneurship development instead they work only on white papers and used by some corrupt government officials to embezzle national treasury. The study discovered that meeting the requirements for accessing government entrepreneurship programmes was the most serious difficulty encountered by entrepreneurs in benefiting from government programmes; and that government entrepreneurial policies have been ineffective due mainly to lack of continuity by successive governments. The study found that government policies at present do not improve economic growth. The study concluded that achievement of the desired economic growth requires review of credit requirements to less stringent terms, harmonization of government entrepreneurial policies with other fiscal and monetary policies, continuity of government policies by successive government, de-emphasis on political affiliation as condition for accessing government programmes and improved sensitization of the public on various government policies/programmes and entrepreneurial development.

ABSTRACT
Controversies abound over the relative contributions of monetary and fiscal policies on different economies of the world. Previous studies in Nigeria focused on either the effect of monetary or fiscal policy on economic growth without taking cognizance of their joint effects on agricultural output. This study is carried out in order to identify the policy-mix that drives the agricultural output growth in Nigeria. The study utilizes the Quantity Theory of Money by the Monetarists vis-à-vis Keynesian Theory with time series data spanning from 1981 to2020. The study uses the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) and the Autoregressive Distributed Lag Model (ARDL) techniques to achieve its objectives. The results reveal that money supply contributes 1.14% to the forecast error variance in agricultural output in the second year and it attains its peak of 3.1% in the third year before decreasing to 2.16% and 1.39% in the seventh and tenth years respectively. Government expenditure accounts for 0.003% of the forecast error variance in agricultural output in the second year and it reaches its peak of 5.63% in the third year before decreasing steadily as it accounts for 2.87% and 1.23% in the sixth and the tenth years respectively. Also, the results indicate that the interactive effect of government expenditure and money supply on agricultural output is positive and significant; implying that fiscal and monetary policies act as complement for agricultural output performance in Nigeria. Thus, the two-policy measures should be coordinated to maximize agricultural output.

The proxies for non-current liabilities were deferred tax liabilities (DTL), borrowings (BRW), retirement benefit obligations (RBO) and Lease liabilities (LSL). The research adopted was correlational research design. The population of the study was 21 listed consumer goods firms in Nigeria. The sample size was 10 selected listed consumer goods firms in Nigeria, using judgmental sampling technique. Content analysis of the annual reports of the selected companies was carried out in a trend of 10 years (2012 2021). The descriptive and inferential statistics were mean, standard deviation, regression analysis, t-test and chi-square, all were run STATA 13. The findings reveal that each of DTL, BRW and LSL is negative and insignificant on the EPSG. Only RBO is positive but also insignificant. The major recommendations hold that the managements of companies should review and reset maximum threshold of gearing in order to accommodate non-current liability items within debt-equity ratio set for capital structure.

ABSTRACT
This study sought to investigate the relationship between exchange rate stability and export performance in Nigeria. Using time series data which spanned from 1980-2017. The main objective of the study was to examine the long-run relationship between exchange rate stability on export performance in Nigeria. This relationship was examined using ARDL approach to co-integration. The ARDL bounds testing approach reveals that the variable were strongly co-integrated. The study found that almost all the explanatory variables were significant in determining the export performance except GDPP. The study therefore concluded that Stern foreign exchange control policies should be put in place in order to help in appropriate determination of the value of the exchange rate. This will in the long run help to strengthen the value of the Naira and that the economy high dependence on import needs to be discouraged by the impositions of stern tariffs. This will helped in restoring the domestic industries and increased the productive capacity of the economy, the balance of payment and a favorable exchange for the country.
